Alan Box Object ESPL

Terry also wrote an alternative ESPL that draws the Alan Box as an object. He and Quartz have been working on further enhancements to that method. There are numerous user-friendly features, only a few of which are

• Resize the Alan Box Object with a new H or L if required [ chart ]
• The user can directly change the Alan Box lines coloring on the Alan Box Property from the Chart Objects list, ie, eliminates the need for the user to create special tabs for line or Gann Square.
• The ESPL detects the intraday timeframe and adjusts the number of bars internally

The current version is for intraday charts only, but the potential for an object-oriented tool is, of course, enormous. To date, using completely hand-drawn methods (ie, Gann Box and lines), the Alan Box has been used on 90-minute, Daily, and Weekly charts. Additionally, special time frames, such as Moon Quarters and contract open/close, have also been used.

An Alan Box that can be manipulated in a way similar to the Gann Square would be the ideal solution. This Alan Box Object ESPL is a step towards that goal.
