16:31 @Ensign_Kimball: Welcome to the 'Meet the Developers' session today
Chart Objects Window

16:32 @Ensign_Kimball: This past week there have been some new enhancements made to the 'Chart Objects' list. When you open the 'Chart Objects' panel, you will see a new check box named 'Show Detail'. If this box is checked then there will be additional details displayed in the window.
16:33 @Ensign_Kimball: A 'Legend' of characters will appear. These special characters will be inserted on each row of the Chart Objects list where applicable. In the example, above the '+' sign indicates that a sound was played.
16:34 @Ensign_Kimball: This allows you to identify which of your objects just made a sound.
The '<>' sign indicates which object just made the last sound
The 'c' means that the study or object is plotted on the Chart
A number from 1 to 8 or the letter 'v' lets you know which sub-window the study is plotted in.

The next couple of columns can display 't' 'f' and 'r' to indicate if the 'Show True', 'Show False', and 'Auto Remove' boxes are activated.
Also, a '- ' will be displayed if the 'Close only' box is checked.
A number right before the study name indicates which TAB the study is using from the Properties window.
16:40 hobo3: how do you use the bars and meg data?
16:40 @Ensign_Kimball: At the top of the Chart Objects window are some statistics regarding all the objects on the chart. The stats will show you how much Memory your studies will require for that chart. Use these stats to help control your computer resources. Decrease the Max Bar capacity for a particular chart if you don't need that many Bars.
16:41 @Buffy2: this new feature has been the biggest time saver - plus knowing each charts memory demands enables user to trim workspace - didn't know high memory charts before
16:42 Merv: what does auto hide do?
16:42 @Ensign_Kimball: If you don't want to see all the extra details, then uncheck the 'Show Detail' box.
16:43 tricky: what would be an avg. use of memory/ chart ?or max for a workspace ?
16:43 @Ensign_Kimball: The 'Auto Hide' box will cause the 'Chart Objects' panel to auto close. Otherwise you will need to click on the 'Close' button
16:45 cherokeeruby: good, the objects list disappears when you select an object now, thanks
16:46 Merv: nice enhancements
16:47 cherokeeruby: YEAH !
New symbols followed for playback files
16:47 @Ensign_Kimball: ES NQ YM AB 6E are now all followed and tracked by Ensign Software for PlayBack files.

16:50 cherokeeruby: so should volume show the same, I see why tick would display differently?
16:51 @Buffy2: constant volume range and time the same only constant tick different between the feeds
Auto Trend Study enhancement

16:52 @Ensign_Kimball: The Auto Trend feature has been further enhanced this past week. In addition to drawing dynamic Trend Lines during the day, it can now plot an Average Trend line.

16:53 @Ensign_Kimball: The Average Trend line will plot at an angle that represents the average trend angle of past moves. This can help predict the possibility of what angle the current Trend Line might end up with.
16:54 Dennis: Never got Auto Trend to work
16:55 @Ensign_Kimball: The Min Size parameter might need to be changed. This filters out trends.
16:55 shawn: how many bars in the lookback for avg trend
16:56 @Ensign_Kimball: Change the Min Size to be .0020
16:57 cherokeeruby: If I add the 50% study all it puts up is half way between Trend Line and Channel
16:57 cherokeeruby: does it have to be a running chart
16:58 cherokeeruby: you are talking about the Ave. Trend

16:59 cherokeeruby: ok, looks good now
16:59 @Ensign_Kimball: Change the line 'Style' for the Ave. Trend to be BLANK if you don't want to see the line
Playback show files for symbol only
17:00 @Ensign_Kimball: The PlayBack 'BROWSE' file feature will now Filter the displayed files based on the symbol. This cuts down the number of files that are displayed in the Open File list.
Other feeds being able to build playback files
(If you are going to sync to someone make sure both running same file)
17:01 @Ensign_Kimball: We are currently working on a new feature for IB, Ensign Internet, and DTN satellite versions. These versions of Ensign Windows will be able to build their own PlayBack files.
17:01 cherokeeruby: next update can we have marker enabled for the Ave. Trend
17:02 bill: Howard, can we still down load IB data? to play back ?
17:02 bill: or get it from our tick pool? Great ! Thx

17:04 bill: This is excellent Howard, thanks for the option to choose
17:04 @Ensign_Kimball: You can still build a PlayBack from the Tick Pool.
17:05 @Ensign_Kimball: The PlayBack filename determines what DAY is built. example, NQ040922 will build a PlayBack file for September 22nd.
17:05 @Ensign_Kimball: .
17:05 @Buffy2: fantastic!!
17:05 bill: YEAH !
#F continuation symbol for other feeds
17:06 @Ensign_Kimball: A new feature for IB users, the use of # Continuation charts
17:06 Kent: any other symbols than ES?
17:06 Randy_NC: hehe thx
17:06 Jack: tks super job
17:07 Kent: Will you do any other #F symbols other than ES?
17:07 Merv: if I had an indicator written in EasyLanguage is there any conversion software that can convert this to ESPL to work on Ensign?
17:07 @Ensign_Kimball: No Merv

17:07 Kent: ok thanks
17:09 hobo3: me macd (divergence)

17:19 @Buffy2: chart objects list is such a time saver for all of us

17:23 tricky: that's a prop win with 7/10/5 on the div prop window data point is set to macd 7,28
17:23 @Buffy2: the write up on Aroon was appreciated by many users
17:23 tricky: could that be it ?
17:24 @Buffy2: that is it tricky

17:29 @Buffy2: thanks Howard
17:29 bill: Howard, thx again for the #F on ib ! Huge help
17:30 @Ensign: welcome, should be in the next upgrade when it is released, possibly tomorrow afternoon
17:30 bill: Terrific
