1626 @Ensign_Kimball Starting today the format for the Wednesday Training Class will be changed.

1627 @Ensign_Kimball Today, and in subsequent weeks, the Wednesday Time period will be named "Chat with the Developers". This time will be used by Ensign Developers to share with users, any New features recently put in the software. The time can be used by Customers to ask questions directly to the software developers. There will not be a formal Training Class

1629 @Ensign_Kimball So....each Wednesday, if you want to hear what's new from Ensign....then Tune-In and learn it directly from the Developers. You can then ask any questions that you might have.

1629 @Ensign_Kimball The 'Support' chat room will be staffed with an Ensign Software Support person during most trading hours during the week. This will allow customers to come into the Support room and get questions answered everyday. If you see @Ensign-Paulo on the member list and he is not responding, he probably is on a phone call. Be patient. If he does not see your question, click on the square box in front of the @Ensign-Paulo nickname and that will page him. He will then see your question in the room and respond when he is not on a phone call.

1640 @Ensign_Kimball LW43. The screen posted above will get you the Parabolic Stop and Reverse settings that you are looking for. No decimals.

1643 @ Ensign If you would like to get a current version, then you will have the following improvements.

1643 @ Ensign 1) the new versions will have a new menu File | Upgrade Ensign Windows.

1644 @ Ensign This menu can be a single click to download and start the installation of the latest Ensign version. It will not pause to ask if you really want to Exit. It will download, auto exit, and start the installation of the upgrade.

1645 @ Ensign The Internet Services form has been simplified to have a single Download button instead of Connect, Download, Install. Opening the form will auto connect and populate the form with the dates.

1646 @ Ensign You see that the Upgrade version date is Sep 1.

1647 @ Ensign If you want to download and install that upgrade, click the Download button and the download, exit, and start of the installation will be an automatic process.

1647 @ Ensign Downloading workspaces, templates, scripts, and playback files works the same as before. Select a file on the dropdown list, and click Download and you will have the file.

1648 @ Ensign After the download the install will happen automatically. Thus the Install button was eliminated. I am describing the way the 8-31 and 9-1 versions will function for a download.

1650 @ Ensign A new template was posted this week which is the WoodieCCI template. You need a current version of Ensign to work with this template. It will color the histogram part of the CCI study the way Woodie likes it, where in the first few bars after a CCI crosses zero are colored blue, and then they color a trend color starting with the 6th bar.

1652 @ Ensign Note in the new version there is also a Play Back Basic tab on the Internet Services form.

1653 @ Ensign This is primarily for new users. It is easy to do a playback with Play Back Basic. Select a playback file from the dropdown list. These are the files on the Ensign web site. Select a speed. Click the Play Back button and a chart will show that is updating with playback.

1656 @ Ensign Today's version also has a new check box on the SetUp \ Charts, Cursor tab form.

1657 @ Ensign in the Properties box, there is new option to show the price on the right side of the cursor instead of always on the left. So the existing box was renamed to be Show Price Left and the new box is Show Price Right.

1701 @ Ensign Oh, another change from last week was the addition of a Replace check box on the Template panel. When checked the template acts as previously implemented wherein the chart is cleared of studies and the Template is added to the chart. When the Replace box is unchecked, the template will be added to the chart without clearing it. Thus, the template can be either add to or replace the studies already on the chart.

1703 @ Ensign This will be a good feature in that you might have mini templates that put on a couple studies, like the Average Candles. and the mini templates can be used to build up a chart.

1709 Merv the woodies template used in room has slope of 34 ema and distance, ticks from pivots and last bar hi and low, will these be added in the future?

1712 @ Ensign The 34 ema line is shown on the chart in the light cyan line. You see the line, you see its slope. No need for another indicator of its slope when you can see the slope. You could use Rising /Falling mode if you want this line to change colors when it changes from up to down.

1712 stormy I noticed that you had a lot of templates that seem to be on the newer version; where these your downloaded list; or is there a new place for me to access template?

1713 @ Ensign There are 20 templates on our web site and they can be downloaded using the Internet Services form, Upgrade tab.

1714 TC regarding the template panel is it possible to customize the default value for the replace check box to "replace" i.e. checked

1715 @ Ensign The daily price pivot levels is shown on the chart and labeled with the P, H, L, 1S, 1R, etc

1715 @ Ensign most of these lines are out of the view of the example I posted, but they are part of the template.

1715 @ Ensign TC, the default for replace is checked

1716 @ Ensign you have to uncheck it for a template to change the setting for that template

1716 @ Ensign each template will remember the last state of Replace box for when that template was used.

1716 @ Ensign you can go through the list and select each template, and check or uncheck the Replace box.

1717 stormy how can I access these template to use on my daily charts?

1717 @ Ensign Use Internet Services form to download the templates. Then open a chart, and click the Template button. Template button has the 2 small squares with an arrow between them. Select a template in the list and click the Open button and it will show on the chart with focus.

1741 @ Ensign also J, you do not have to have a frame around the highlight area. You can uncheck the 100% box to remove the perimeter or make the perimeter the same color as the interior. And you might like the lighter shade of yellow for the fill
