New Features for new June 2004 Ensign Version |

RSI, PYRA, Grid Lines, Keyboard Hot keys, Gann Fan, Line showing Ratio, QnA

16:39 @Ensign_Kimball: Several new features have been added to the software recently.
16:39 @Ensign_Kimball: First item....The RSI study has a new feature
16:39 @Ensign_Kimball: Notice in the Properties window there is a new check box named 2nd RSI Line
16:39 @Ensign_Kimball: If you place a check mark in this box, you can view 2 RSI studies. The AVERAGE of the RSI will be disabled. Instead, you will be able to view to RSI study lines (from the same RSI study object)
16:39 @Ensign_Kimball: You can always just place to separate RSI studies on a chart if you want
16:39 @Ensign_Kimball: But, this will allow you to generate 2 independent RSI values from one study instance
16:39 @Ensign_Kimball: This example shows a 7 period RSI and a 3 period RSI

16:39 @Ensign_Kimball: The PyraPoint tool has a new feature.
16:39 @Ensign_Kimball: When the Pyrapoint tool is in a SELECTED state (so that the pencil is visible) You can use the mouse to click on the UP (scroll previous) and DOWN (scroll next) arrows to adjust the DEGREES. This saves time. You don't have to go into the Properties window if you want to view different DEGREES settings. The CYAN colored UP and DOWN buttons can now be used to click the DEGREES settings up or down.

16:43 @Ensign_Kimball: This will display the Ratio between the start and End points.
16:43 @Ensign_Kimball: Example, if the end point is 10 percent higher than the start point, then the displayed value will be 1.10

16:47 @Ensign_Kimball: The Vertical and Horizontal Grid lines now have the option to be Solid lines, Thick lines, dotted, dashed, etc.

16:47 @Ensign_Kimball: I told you it would be extreme. But, I think that you get the idea
16:48 @Ensign_Kimball: You can set the Grid Line line style in 2 places
16:48 @Ensign_Kimball: 1) Double click the Chart and change the settings in the Chart Properties window
16:49 @Ensign_Kimball: Or, select Setup | Charts from the Ensign menu and change the Global setting for all new charts.

16:50 @Ensign_Kimball: This feature will disable MOST keyboard keys, when you are looking at a chart.
16:51 @Ensign_Kimball: This can prevent you from accidentally typing a bunch of keystrokes while a chart has Focus.
16:51 @Buffy2: but not the F keys right?
16:51 @Ensign_Kimball: And inadvertently adding or changing a bunch of studies.
16:51 @Ensign_Kimball: The Function Keys will still be active

16:52 @Buffy2: to go up and down workspace - tabs on properties windows etc
16:52 @Ensign_Kimball: Yes, the keyboard setting doesn't effect mouse functionality
16:53 @Ensign_Kimball: Select Setup | Charts from the Ensign menu and then click the Keyboard tab to adjust the setting
16:54 @Ensign_Kimball: Uncheck the for Charts check box, if you don't want to have the keyboard enabled

17:01 ex78: if you maximize a small chart how do you restore it to its original size, since the windows control buttons are now gone

17:19 @Buffy2: use your tab key down to playback speed line so Ensign can set everything
17:19 @Buffy2: click on build new playback file button
17:20 @Buffy2: it will look like a chart is zinging off to the side and the line with xxxx will move across window. When this is done the file will be created.

17:31 @Buffy2: for minute charts it would be right click on chart and click on refresh
17:31 @Buffy2: chose the amount of time - there is no refresh in ib for tick charts yet
