Improve the CPU Efficiency of your Ensign Computer

Setting up the chart properties data tab will really help the CPU usage during market hours as your charts will not reach max bars limit.

First we need to know approximately how many bars are in a day. Ensign will count them for you using the line tool with a bar marker. The following image is done on a 19000V chart.



As you can see, the bar count is 195. Let's round up to 200 bars.

Since it is easy to fill in back data in Ensign just by increasing max bar settings, I don't need the chart to open with more than 5 days of data.
5x200=1000 Bars to open chart with.
+ 200 Bars for the day
1200 Max bars.

This should be roughly calculated for each chart.




Another thing you can do is to clean out the symbol list by doing the following:
No chart open with that symbol
Delete from quote page checking applicable buttons.
Delete from Setup/Manager in Ensign.
Delete from TWS, Esignal Data Manager etc on your feed.
