Ninja discussion in the room on his GVs to show ribbons in 4 and 5 times frames in same zone.
20:18 Elroch2: Fascinating
20:18 bill: Very Ninja
20:18 bill: clear
20:22 er2: where is the screen that defines global values that assign the different stochs values to the global numbers (1-4, 5-8, etc.) ?
20:23 Kubes: on the indicator window...er2
20:24 er2: thanks
20:30 mmaker: can you show us an example of the setup on a chart?
20:30 dblue: outstanding
20:31 mmaker: you can set an alert that says if flag goes true
20:31 Elroch2: Alternative is just record one with own voice, I suppose?
20:36 diego: Ninja, you are looking for at least one ribbon above 79 or below 21 on each time frame?
20:36 Rod: can you make it look at 5 for any four true?
20:37 mmaker: do you have a snap of a 4R or 5R
20:37 dblue: lost ribbons

20:39 mmaker: ty
20:40 virt: what do you use on the es/sp....2pts...8 ticks?
20:40 LW43: Do you have a template for this ??
20:40 mmaker: very good Ninja....very innovative
20:40 dblue: well thought out and Very well presented
20:41 trendtrader: thanks very much for explaining what can be very a complicated but powerful new alert system tonight Ninja. and pointing out the need to plan ahead when using multiple charts, the info is very much appreciated. I sure understand the workings of this stuff much better now
20:41 dblue: template is in archives under templates
20:41 Moe Mentum: could you please tell us (anyone?) what the rules are for entering a GV from a higher TF into a lower TF
20:41 LW43: Thnx dblue - That will help in debugging
20:41 @Buffy2:but since this involves multi tf charts - a template will not work - you need to do your own for the 4R and 5R - you can do it and learn while you are copying his properties windows. the part for the macd red/white blocks and dots is in the template charts folder in archives
20:42 dblue: y
@Buffy2: I would also like to remind all that when you are testing multi tf globals, must use playback or RT data
20:43 LW43: Makes sense - it doesn't get triggered statically
20:44 mmaker: so Ninja you have to click on your 13 range then your 10 range then your 7 range then your 3 range then your 2 range to get around the Z table issue in Microsoft?
20:45 LW43: Buffy - Are you saying that if the template is applied to all time charts that the alert windows are not created and/or must be altered
20:45 er2: ribbons on all 5 tfs were up there in sell zone for a long period of time today
20:45 @Buffy2: yes I believe so because the different tfs are setting up the global numbers different
20:45 dblue: template does not include the alerts
20:45 LW43: ok
20:46 Elroch2: What is a Z-table?
20:49 dblue: ditto here Ninja lol
20:52 bill: Ninja, have you tried this on the ES ?
20:53 bill: yup thx
20:53 @Buffy2: good idea ninja
20:53 dblue: symbol and tf I presume ;))
20:54 er2: ninja, why you like range bars better than tick bars?
20:54 @Buffy2: bill instead of me saying all ribbons in buy/sell zone you will see it on your own chart
20:54 mmaker: Interesting Ninja
20:54 dblue: what is your lowest on es Ninja?
20:54 Shar: Wouldn't that be wonderful, Buffy! :-)
20:55 @Buffy2: put this on your charts and you will have it Shar
20:55 Shar: I really really hate to ask, but does Ninja have two hidden ribbons?
20:55 @Buffy2: ninja has done a good job
20:55 Shar: Yes, he has. Super job. And great for helping us to understand what he did.
20:55 dblue: he has 5/3 k and 9/3 d I think
20:56 Shar: His alerts say 4 or 5, but I only see two - besides the bline. Where am I going wrong. lol
20:56 Shar: Ok! Thanks!
20:57 dblue: would you care to discuss one of your charts and what the Heiken and indicators are telling you?
20:58 Sharon: Shar, 4 or 5 refers to number of time frames where the ribbons are in the zone
20:58 Shar: Ok, Sharon. thanks.
20:59 Sharon: yw
20:58 Stok: tails might mean a turning point ?
20:58 er2: can you post a setup screen for Heikin-Ashi + range bar setup you use in your charts?
20:59 Shar: er2, I think that's what his template is.
21:00 Kubes: great job ninja...thanks for sharing!
21:00 er2: also can you talk a little about how you use your MACD indicators? those squares in red in white - MACD squares
21:03 hobo3: what weighted ave do you use vs the HA bars?
21:04 hobo3: ty
21:04 bill: Could you post an example of that please, , the 1-4 bar display
21:05 scooter2: thanks for the class Ninja, you have done some incredible work!!
21:05 LW43: Dblue - What is the name of the template ?
http://www.dacharts.org/archives/Templates%20and%20Charts/Ninja/Ninja 112804.dat
21:06 Elroch2: bill - here's my version with WMA(1,4) displayed with Heikin-Ashi bars

21:06 bill: Thx Elro : - )
21:06 Elroch2: Randy's original has a number of differences (bar coloring indicator, etc.)
21:09 Stok: Ninja thanks
21:09 dblue: awesome Ninja
21:09 Sharon: thank you Ninja, great job!
21:09 LB: THANKS FOR THE INFO
21:09 Rod: great , thanks ninja
21:09 mmaker: TY Ninja - great ideas
21:09 scooter2: thanks again Ninja great job
21:09 hobo3: ty
21:09 Kubes: applause Ninja
21:09 LW43: Thanks
21:10 Elroch2: Worth staying up late for, Ninja (it's just gone 2am here)
21:10 Scorpio: Thanks Ninja
21:10 er2: thanks so much Ninja, great presentation!
21:10 Elroch2: Thanks for a very interesting discussion
21:10 Shar: Thanks you so much.
21:12 mmaker: Thx for sharing Ninja
21:12 Ninja: :-)
21:12 jim: thank you Ninja, interesting concept
21:13 er2: brilliant!
21:14 bill: Yup, , , Thx Ninja-san, , , very clear
21:14 Rod: I was gonna say that , buffy
21:15 bill: Yeah, the work sheet is great
21:17 er2: the new alerts can be nested now (or it has been always there but I wasn't aware of), combine the alerts nested within alert and globals, very complex systems can be created by just point n click the alerts property windows, this is really great!
21:18 @Buffy2: you are making it work for you - I just ramble
21:19 @Buffy2: what are you using again Kubes
21:20 dblue: 7 instead of 5 and 9 buffy
21:20 @Buffy2: tks
21:24 dblue: no doubt there are.. but the idea of "global " global buckets is intriguing
21:27 dblue: would you have a chart similar to the one elroch posted - interested in comparing the candles
21:29 dblue: think he said heiken, no bars ' and 1-4 average?
21:29 er2: dblue, what are those yellow and peach color solids at some ends of candles?
21:30 dblue: 1-4 average I think
21:31 Stok: 1-4 avg of what ? weighted bars ?
21:31 Stok: I think Randy uses weighted bars but I don't know how
21:32 dblue: he did say like randy
